It's happened to many Dutch people living abroad: their current Dutch bank account is suddenly closed. The SNBN believes that every Dutch person, both inside and outside the Netherlands, has the right to a Dutch bank account.
On September 4, 2025, we celebrated the second edition of the Day of the Dutch Citizens Abroad. This special and unique day was established by the SNBN in 2024, entirely dedicated to supporting and promoting the interests of the more than one million Dutch citizens living abroad.
