Next step in cabinet formation: SNBN letter to informateur
Following the initial drafting session between D66 and CDA, the VVD has now also joined, led by informateur Rianne Letschert . Together, they will likely produce a document that closely resembles a coalition agreement – with the target date being finalized by the end of January.
To provide the informant with all relevant information as concisely and concisely as possible, the SNBN has sent the letter below (which is largely the same as the previous letter to the political parties).
In this way, we draw attention to the issues that affect us abroad in every possible way. Undoubtedly, the parties forming the coalition government will also be taking a holiday, so we'll continue this at the beginning of the new year!

Applying for a passport for a newborn baby
Even a newborn baby can only travel across the border with a passport or identity card. But how do you get one if you can't apply for a passport in your country of residence? After all, the baby has to travel with you across the border to the passport application.
NederlandWereldwijd gave us the answer: apply for a so-called "laissez-passer" for the baby. This is an emergency passport that allows travel to and from the place where the passport can be applied for. You can apply for the laissez-passer from an honorary consul in your country of residence or through the embassy or consulate responsible for your country of residence.

Happy New Year and a healthy 2026!
The SNBN board wishes everyone a wonderful holiday season and a healthy 2026, with a special thank you to all the volunteers worldwide who actively support and keep the SNBN running!
Thank you all!
